Chowara Sree Dharma Sastha Temple History
According to history the temple had a place with Mooriyathotam family. Marthanda Varma who was being pursued by Ettuveetil Pillamar had taken shelter in the place of Mooriyathotam family. Ettuveetil Pillamar torched the house. However, wonderfully nothing happened to the puja room. The puja didn’t consume in light of the presence of Ayyappa. Whenever Marthandavarma became lord he constructed a sanctuary here and gave land for the support of the shrine.
At the point when Mooriyathotam family split into four gatherings, it became difficult to keep up with the shrine. The temple was given over to Ayyappa Seva Sangham.
